Life Here | Te ora i konei

Our people tell us that Port Nicholson Fisheries is a whānau, and they love working here. They feel supported, and value the growth and development opportunities we offer. At Port Nic, you will find hard-working, authentic, caring colleagues at all levels of our organisation. Across our business, our people live, breathe and share the same values.  We work together to achieve outstanding results, sustain the kōura resource and deliver enduring value to Iwi.

We are proud of our inclusive workforce and we value the diversity of culture, thought, and experience that our people bring to Port Nicholson Fisheries.  We are especially proud to challenge the norm for the fishing industry:

  • Over a third of our total workforce are women

  • More than a quarter of our operations (factory-based) workforce are women

  • Women hold more than half of our factory leadership positions
